Robin Sommer is the Founder and Principal of Sommer Strategic Advisors, LLC, where she advises businesses, nonprofit organizations, trade associations, and educational institutions on government affairs, public policy, legislative strategy, and stakeholder engagement. An attorney and registered lobbyist, Robin brings more than a decade of experience helping organizations navigate complex legislative and regulatory environments, build influential relationships, and achieve strategic policy objectives.

Throughout her career, Robin has represented clients before the Massachusetts Legislature, executive branch agencies, and local governments while leading advocacy efforts across a diverse portfolio of policy issues, including technology, education, healthcare, labor and employment, economic development, and data privacy.

Before founding Sommer Strategic Advisors, Robin served as Director of Government Affairs for the Massachusetts Charter Public School Association, where she led statewide legislative strategy, budget advocacy, coalition development, and public policy initiatives. She previously served as Policy Manager at Instacart, directing government affairs and legislative strategy across a 15-jurisdiction region spanning the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast, and as Director of Legislative Affairs for EF Education First's Cultural Care Au Pair program, leading federal, state, and local legislative strategy, regulatory engagement, and public affairs initiatives.

Robin began her career as an associate attorney, developing the advocacy, legal analysis, and strategic problem-solving skills that continue to shape her approach to advising clients on complex policy and regulatory matters.

Robin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Union University and a Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in New York.

Robin lives outside Boston, Massachusetts, with her husband, Sam, and their two daughters.
